Dragovic/Brady advance to Round of 16
The Marquette University men's tennis team concluded play at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships in Champaign, Illinois.
The event, hosted by Illinois, featured a 64-team bracket of schools from across the region. The Golden Eagles were represented by a total of five players at the event, with senior Stefan Dragovic competing in the main draw.
In the qualifying round of 64, Blake Roegner, Rami Scheetz, and Thomas Nelson all picked up a win in the first round but fell in the round of 32.
The Golden Eagles were represented by Thomas Nelson/Rami Scheetz and Stefan Dragovic/Ian Brady in doubles action. Dragovic/Brady picked up two wins against Toledo and Notre Dame but fell short vs. Northwestern in the round of 16.
MU opens dual competition in Des Moines, Iowa on January 20th to take on Drake University.Â
