Golden Eagles open five-match homestand Feb 11
The Marquette University men's tennis team (2-3) dropped a 6-1 decision at Wisconsin (3-2) in non-conference action on the road Friday night.
The matchup was the first on the road for the Golden Eagles, who opened the year with a four-match homestand, this season.
Wisconsin opened the match by claiming the doubles point and only Marquette's Elijah Zifferblatt was able to secure a singles victory for MU, winning 6-3, 6-4 over UW's Daniel Nuzhny, The victory was the first of Zifferblatt's career in his dual match debut.
UP NEXT:Â Marquette returns to action on Friday, Feb. 11 when the team hosts Youngstown State to begin a five-match homestand.
