MTEN Travels To ITA Midwest Regional Championships

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette men's tennis team will close out the 2023 fall campaign this weekend in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The squad will be competing in the ITA Midwest Regional Championships hosted by the University of Michigan.

The tournament will be played in a single elimination format starting on Thursday, October 19. Marquette and Michigan will be joined by numerous teams from across the region.

Newcomer Jasper Schaadt has been the Golden Eagles' bright spot in doubles action, Schaadt has tallied eight total victories in doubles action paired with multiple teammates.

In singles action senior Jan Jauch has paced Marquette with five wins in fall competition.

"For us, it's about competing every chance we get," interim director of tennis Jud Shaufler said. "The fall has been good for us in terms of getting better and we will look to finish strong at regionals."
