Junior placed first in the high jump and tied career-best mark at Blue Demon Holiday Invite

MILWAUKEE – Annika Bynum has been named BIG EAST Women's Field Athlete of the Week after her first-place finish in the high jump at the Blue Demon Holiday Invite, the conference announced Wednesday.

Bynum cleared 1.76m/5ft 9.25in, tying her PR mark that is second all-time at MU. The junior has the best mark in the BIG EAST and sits 17th nationally.

The Wadsworth, Illinois native has six first-place finishes in the high jump in her career.

This marks the first weekly conference honor for Bynum.
