The Golden Eagles will open dual play on the road at Wisconsin
MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University men's tennis team has announced its dual schedule for the spring of 2024.
The Golden Eagles will open the 2024 campaign on Friday, Jan. 19 at Wisconsin at noon CT.
Marquette has three newcomers joining the roster this season, including sophomores Ivan Vazquez, Teddy Wong, and Cardinal Stritch senior transfer Jasper Schaadt. In addition, MU also returns three seniors in team captain Nathan Balthazor, Jan Jauch, Tin Krstulovic, and sophomore Blake Roegner.

"Our schedule is full of quality opponents and our goal is always to show improvement throughout the season with the intent on peaking as we get into conference play and the BIG EAST Tournament," Director of Tennis Jud Shaufler said. "I expect our seniors to show great leadership and resiliency as we navigate an exciting and challenging journey."
Marquette will compete in its first home match on Sunday, Jan. 28 when it hosts Red Birds of Illinois State.
The Golden Eagles will take on their first BIG EAST opponent on March 3 in Chicago against DePaul.
In March, the squad will participate in the USTA Spring Break Tennis event in Orlando, against Marist and Hampton.
Marquette will honor its senior class on March 29, prior to the first serve against Creighton. Ā
MU's tennis program plays its 2024 home matches at North Shore - Elite Sports Club due to renovations to Helfaer Tennis Stadium, which is set to be complete by the end of 2024.Ā
