Marquette's goalie made 17 saves and allowed four goals against Detroit Mercy

NEW YORK – Marquette University men's lacrosse goalie Michael Allieri was named the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
Allieri posted a season-high 17 saves and allowed just four goals in nearly 58 minutes against Detroit Mercy to improve to 3-1 on the season.
The native of Wellesley, Massachusetts made six saves in the first quarter and posted a shutout through the first 18 minutes of game action. He also held the Titans scoreless in the second half with 10 saves after the intermission.
The Golden Eagles make their first appearance at home since the season's first week on Saturday afternoon against Bellarmine, a team receiving votes in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll.
