
MLAX Announces 2026 Schedule

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Second-year men's lacrosse head coach Jake Richard announced the program's schedule for the 2026 campaign, which features six home contests at Valley Fields, including non-conference matchups against Michigan, Notre Dame, Mercer and Utah.
Marquette opens the spring semester with two exhibition games against Navy and the University of Virginia on Saturday, Jan. 24, at Navy–Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland.
The Golden Eagles begin the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 7, hosting the University of Michigan at noon CT. The contest marks the eighth all-time meeting between the programs and the third at Valley Fields. Marquette will look for its first win over the Wolverines since 2023 and its first home victory in the series since 2019.
Marquette continues its non-conference slate the following weekend by hosting the 2023 and 2024 national champions, Notre Dame, on Saturday, Feb. 14, at noon CT. The Golden Eagles then hit the road for back-to-back contests, traveling to Cleveland State on Feb. 21 and Detroit Mercy on Feb. 23. MU closes the month with a neutral-site matchup on Long Island against Harvard on Feb. 28.
The Golden Eagles return home twice in early March, beginning with a matchup against Mercer on Saturday, March 7, before welcoming Utah to Valley Fields on Wednesday, March 11. Marquette concludes non-conference play with a road contest at Bellarmine on March 21 in Louisville, Kentucky.
BIG EAST Conference play opens on March 28 when Providence visits Milwaukee. Marquette will then head on the road for two consecutive games, facing St. John's on April 4 and defending BIG EAST champions Georgetown on April 11. The Golden Eagles return home for their final home contest of the regular season on April 18 against Villanova.
The regular season concludes with a road matchup at the University of Denver on April 24.
The 2026 BIG EAST Men's Lacrosse Championship is scheduled for Thursday, April 30, and Saturday, May 2, at Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium in Providence, Rhode Island.
