Golden Eagles conclude their 2022-23 season

CAYCE, S.C. - The Marquette University men's tennis team (6-16) saw its 2022-23 campaign come to an end with a 4-0 loss against St. John's (18-5) Friday afternoon in the quarterfinals of the 2023 BIG EAST Championship in Cayce, S.C.

The Red Storm were the No. 2 seed in the eight-team field at the Cayce Tennis and Fitness Center and Marquette was seeded eighth. Marquette and St. John's recently met in Milwaukee on April 7, with SJU taking that match 7-0.

St. John's opened the match by winning the doubles match with wins at No. 1 and No. 2. The Red Storm quickly went on to take the team decision with straight-set wins at No. 1, 3, and 6.
