Golden Eagles back in action Sunday at St. Thomas
Minneapolis, MN -Â The Marquette University women's tennis team (0-1) dropped a 7-0 decision in its dual season opener against Minnesota (1-0) Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Gophers opened the match by claiming the important doubles point with wins at all three positions and went on to quickly earn four singles wins to take the team decision.
Newcomers Tiera Jarmond and Emma-Jane Barclay made their Marquette debut Saturday afternoon. Jarmond competed at the No. 3 spot in the double's lineup. Barclay made her debut at the No. 6 spot in the singles lineup.
UP NEXT: The Golden Eagles will travel to St. Thomas for a 1:00pm CT match on Sunday, January 21.
