Golden Eagles back in action Saturday vs. Chicago State
Bloomington, Minn. -Â The Marquette University women's tennis team (0-2) fell short 4-3 against St. Thomas (2-0) Sunday afternoon.
The Tommies opened the match by claiming the doubles point, given St. Thomas a 1-0 advantage going into singles play.

Emilija Kojcic picked up a straight set victory (6-3, 6-3) at the No. 1 spot. Sarah Badawi and Andie Weise took single wins at the No. 3 and 4 spots.

Despite the three singles action wins for the Golden Eagles, St. Thomas earned three wins to take the 4-3 decision.
"Emilija, Sarah, and Andie did a great job of knocking down singles wins for us," director of tennis Jud Shaufler said. "Everyone competed well in our singles play, but we will focus on our doubles performances this week in practice."Â
UP NEXT: The Golden Eagles will travel to the Windy City to take on Chicago State for a 11:00am CT match on Saturday, January 27.
