MTEN Releases 2025 Dual Schedule

Golden Eagles open dual play on the road at Western Michigan
MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University men's tennis team has announced its dual schedule for the spring of 2025.
The Golden Eagles will begin the the dual season by opening a double-header prior to the women's team matchup on Friday, Jan. 17 at Western Michigan, first serve is set for 9:00 a.m. CT.
Marquette returns three letter winners from last year's squad including All-BIG EAST second team honoree Blake Roegner, Ivan Vazquez and Teddy Wong. Redshirt freshmen Koji Heineman returns for the Golden Eagles for his first season of dual completion. The squad welcomes six freshmen this season in Cyrus Ahmad, Kristian Blagoev, Evan Glebov, Hugh Perrill, TJ Ryerson and Remi St. Laurent.
"We are looking forward to another challenging schedule in the spring. We always prioritize playing as many BIG EAST schools as possible and also maintain our good relationships with our Midwest non-conference teams.," Director of Tennis Jud Shaufler said. "With seven freshmen and Blake (Roegner) leading our team we are looking forward to growing throughout this season which we believe will set the foundation for the future of the program."
The Golden Eagles host their first home match in the newly renovated Helfaer Tennis Stadium on Friday, Jan. 31 against Drake.
The team will take on its first BIG EAST opponent at home on Saturday. Feb 1 when they host DePaul at noon.
In March the squad will participate in the USTA Spring Break Tennis event in Orlando, Florida where they will take on Fairfield and Hampton.
The 2025 BIG EAST Tournament is scheduled to place at Cayce Tennis & Fitness Center in Cayce, South Carolina April 18-20.
Marquette will play 2024 home matches at Helfaer Tennis Stadium, which is set to be completed by the end of 2024.
