Weizeorick runs sixth-fastest 5000m in program history
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Marquette track and field competed at the Meyo Invitational Friday and Saturday in South Bend.
Dan Weizeorick ran the sixth-fastest 5000m time in program history in the last event on Friday at 14:29.92. The senior now owns the sixth-fastest and ninth-fastest 5000m times in program history.
Zachariah Murray set a new PR in the 600m at 1:21.13 to finish eighth on Friday.
On Saturday, Aaron Hughes finished fourth in the 60m with a time of 6.96 seconds.
Daylee Braden finished second in the 400m with a time of 56.06.
Kaylee Hopp set a new PR in the triple jump at 12.12m, finishing fourth overall.
Annika Bynum placed third overall in the high jump at 1.73m. The junior has finished inside the top three in the high jump in every event this season

- Marquette will split up next weekend. The Golden Eagles will travel to Allendale, Michigan for the GVSU Big Meet on Friday, Feb. 9 and the Dick Ripon Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 10 in Ripon, Wisconsin.
