Cowan ends his career fourth at MU in points and third in goals
Attackman Devon Cowan is a four-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team selection and a two-time All-BIG EAST performer on the field. He finished his NCAA career third in program history with 99 goals and fourth in total points with 132.
1. What is your most memorable experience with the team?
Cowan: Beating Penn State in 2023.
2. What's the best advice you could offer future Marquette lacrosse players?
Cowan: Be all in, all the time. This goes for on and off the field as well. Do everything you can, meet new people, and be where your feet are.
3. Most memorable game? Why?
Cowan: Penn State, because it was one of the best teams we beat in my time here.
4. What has motivated you?
Cowan: My parents, my sister, and becoming the best version of myself possible.
5. How do you think you've changed as a player or person over your career at Marquette?
Cowan: Grown a lot physically, but more so have been through so many good and bad experiences in the last 5 years, it has shaped not only how I view the world, but also how to handle difficult situations in life.
6. What is your favorite thing about the city of Milwaukee? Why?
Cowan: The river because it has incredible fishing in it.
7. What have you learned that you will take with you as you move on from MU?
Cowan: Nothing is given, everything is earned.
8. Who is a teammate that has inspired you? Why?
Cowan: Luke Williams because he's had to deal with more adversity than anyone else I know.
