Kojcic cliches win for Golden Eagles in New Jersey
NEWARK, New Jersey - The Marquette University women's tennis team earns a BIG EAST victory over Seton Hall, 6-1 Friday afternoon at NJIT Campus tennis courts.
Marquette opened the match by claiming the doubles point with wins at all three positions.
Senior Sarah Badawi earned the first straight-set singles victory for Marquette at No. 3 (6-3, 6-1).
Andie Weise helped the Golden Eagles tally three team points with a win at the No. 4 spot in two sets (6-2, 6-4).
Emilija Kojcic clinched the Marquette victory with a win at No. 1 in three sets (4-6, 6-3, 6-3).
Senior Tiana Windbuchler picked up a singles win at No. 5 in a straight tie-break (0-6, 6-3, 1-0).
Junior Tiera Jarmond rounded out the Blue and Gold's win with a straight-set win at No. 6 (6-2, 6-2).
UP NEXT: Marquette will continue its East Coast road trip against St. John's, April 7 at 6:00 pm CT.
