
Puseljic Earns Bronze in Heptathlon on Friday at BIG EAST Outdoor Championships

Graduate student earns second medal of the week for MU
PHILADELPHIA – Marquette University track and field completed day two at the 2024 BIG EAST Outdoor Championship on Friday.
"We competed well in the tough conditions today," Bert Rogers said. "A number of people qualified for finals and we have a big day ahead of us tomorrow to close the week out."
Mila Puseljic earned bronze in the women's heptathlon with a score of 4,367 points. The graduate student finished top five in every event including PRs in the high jump (1.57m) and 200m (26.09 seconds). Puseljic earned bronze in the BIG EAST indoor heptathlon this past February.
Cole Donahe finished fifth in the decathlon with 6,038 points. Donahe set PRs in the 100m (11.57 seconds), high jump (1.69m), and 110h (17.58 seconds).
Dan Weizeorick finished fifth in the 3000m steeplechase at 9:06.25, the 10th fastest time in program history.
Tessa Hollander finished fourth in the javelin throw in her first BIG EAST championship with a mark of 37.33m.
Julia Beck ran the fifth-fastest time in the 100h trials at 14.39 seconds to qualify for Saturday's final. Danny Olsen grabbed the final qualifying spot in the 200m at 22.03 seconds.
Zachariah Murray qualified for the 400m final after a 48.59 second trial. Aaron Hughes is in the 100m final after running a 10.93 second trial.
Daylee Braden qualified for the 800m final after running a 2:08.91 trial, the second-best trial time of the day. Danny Olsen
