New faces hit the court for the Golden Eagles

MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men's tennis team opens its 2024 fall campaign this weekend in River Forest, Illinois as they compete in the River Forest Invite hosted by the Huskies of NIU.

The men's team will send eight players to the tournament (Sept. 13-15) to compete in singles and doubles action.

The men's squad returns three letterwinners from last season, including junior Blake Roegner, who saw action in 18 dual matches last season playing most of them at the No. 1 or 2 spot. Roegner was voted last season's Most Improved Player and Most Valuable Player by his teammates.

The men's team added six newcomers to this year's roster, all of which are freshmen. The team welcomes back sophomore Koji Heineman and juniors Ivan Vazquez and Teddy Wong.
