Bray hit .500 with 1.33 blocks per set in sweeps of UConn and PC

NEW YORK – Marquette University redshirt junior middle blocker Hattie Bray was named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll for women's volleyball on Monday afternoon for her play in a 2-0 week to open league play.
Bray hit .500 (13-1-24) with just one hitting error in sweeps of UConn and Providence and added eight total blocks. Over the week's six sets, she averaged 2.17 kills, 1.33 blocks and 1.33 digs per set with a pair of service aces.
The native of Hancock, Wisconsin landed seven kills in Friday's win over UConn with five blocks, four digs and two aces. She followed that up with a hitting line of 6-0-11 (.545) on Sunday against Providence with three blocks and four digs.
Bray is a two-time All-BIG EAST Team selection and earned a pair of weekly honors last season, including BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 9, 2023.
