
Cervantes and Adler conclude action at The Thunderbolt

Cervantes tied for 19th at the event in Surprise, Arizona at 1-under par
RESULTS
SURPRISE, Arizona – Marquette University men's golfers Vincent Cervantes and Patrick Adler competed in The Thunderbolt from Dec. 29-31, 2024, at Sterling Grove Golf + Country Club in Surprise, Arizona.
Cervantes led the MU contingent in a tie for 19th with a 1-under 215 in his home state, while Adler tied for 40th with a 3-over 219. Cervantes carded a 1-over 73 during the event's opening round before consecutive 1-under 71 to close action in the final 36 holes. Adler joined Cervantes with a 1-over 73 in the first round and notched a 2-under 70 in the second.
Following the overwhelming success of The Patriot All-America Invitational, organizers implemented a second tournament to the Patriot lineup named The Thunderbolt in 2022. Played at Sterling Grove Golf + Country Club in Surprise, Ariz., it features 72 more of the nation's top male collegiate players competing in a three-round event on the same dates as The Patriot: December 29-31. Named after the Air Force P-47 Thunderbolt, The Thunderbolt has been added to accommodate those players that met the initial eligibility but did not make it into The Patriot. Recent former MU All-American Hunter Eichhorn competed four times in The Patriot All-America Invitational during his NCAA career.
