NEW YORK — Marquette University men's lacrosse senior attackmen Bobby O'Grady and Nolan Rappis are on the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll, the league announced Monday afternoon.
The two are recognized following MU's 19-11 win over Bellarmine on Tuesday, March 4 in which O'Grady became the program's all-time point leader. O'Grady tied a career best with eight points in the victory and notched a career-high five assists, marking the first time in his career that he's logged more than a pair in a single contest. O'Grady surpassed Ryan McNamara's program record of 152 points and he currently has 157 through 49 career games.
The native of Milton, Massachusetts posted a man-up goal in the first quarter as Marquette improved to first nationally in man-up percentage (.706) with a 3-for-3 day on the advantage.
Rappis tied a career high with five goals and added one assist for a six-point day. Rappis currently leads the Golden Eagles with 16 goals and 13 assists for 29 points.
The recognition is the third this season for Rappis and the second for O'Grady.
