MILWAUKEE – Marquette University women's volleyball first-year head coach Tom Mendoza has announced MU's non-conference schedule for the fall of 2025, featuring the match against Wisconsin at Fiserv Forum on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
"Elite student-athletes choose Marquette because they get the experience and education Marquette provides while competing at the top level nationally," Mendoza said. "Our non-conference schedule not only gives our team the opportunity to compete to win at the highest level but also brings great volleyball to Milwaukee at both the Al and Fiserv."
The Golden Eagles head to Northwestern for an exhibition contest on Friday, Aug. 22 before opening the regular season in Honolulu at the Rainbow Wahine Classic Aug. 29-31 against San Diego, Utah State and tournament-host Hawai'i. The Golden Eagles last competed in the event in Aug. 2021 and won the championship by defeating Fairfield, Texas A&M and Hawai'i at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
Marquette opens its home slate at the Al McGuire Center on Friday, Sept. 5 against Western Kentucky and has matches on Sept. 6 and 7 against Dayton and Buffalo, respectively. MU also hosts two neutral site matches that Friday and one on Saturday prior to the contest with Dayton.
The Golden Eagles then welcome Ball State (Friday, Sept. 12), James Madison (Saturday, Sept. 13) and Milwaukee (Sunday, Sept. 14) during the regular season's third weekend and host neutral site contests prior to their matches on Saturday and Sunday.
The Wisconsin match begins a big week for the Golden Eagles. After hosting the Badgers at Fiserv Forum on Wednesday, MU welcomes Florida to the Al McGuire Center on Friday, Sept. 19 and ends non-conference action with a Sunday, Sept. 21 match against Minnesota at the Al.
In total, the Golden Eagles host 14 matches in Milwaukee between Sept. 5-21 and six of MU's non-conference foes competed in last year's NCAA tournament.
Marquette went 25-9 in the fall of 2024 and made its third NCAA Regional appearance before falling to the eventual NCAA Champion Penn State in the regional semifinals.
MU's 2025 fall BIG EAST Conference slate will be announced later this spring.
Season tickets packages are $75 for all home games at the Al McGuire Center and go on sale Monday, May 12. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling the Marquette Ticiket Office at (414) 288-GOMU (4668). Season ticket holders will have early access to individual match tickets for the Sept. 17 contest against Wisconsin at Fiserv Forum ahead of the general public.
