
Golf Announces 2025-26 Schedule

Marquette Intercollegiate returns to Erin Hills Oct. 5-7
MILWAUKEE – Marquette University men's golf head coach Steve Bailey announced the 2025-26 schedule on Thursday, highlighted by the return of the Marquette Intercollegiate at Erin Hills Oct. 5-7.
The Golden Eagles begin the 2025-26 campaign at the Gopher Invitational (Sept. 7-8) at Windsong Farm Golf Club in Maple Plain, Minnesota. MU travels to The Invitational at The Honors Course (Sept. 15-16) in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The Windon Memorial Classic, a mainstay on MU's fall schedule, returns to Knollwood Club in Lake Forest, Illinois Sept. 29-30. The Golden Eagles took home the tournament title the last time the event was at Knollwood in 2018.
The Marquette Intercollegiate returns to Erin Hills Sunday, Oct. 5 to Tuesday, Oct. 7. This fall marks the 11th playing of the event and the ninth time Erin Hills, the site of the 2017 U.S. Open and 2025 U.S. Women's Open, has hosted MU's home event.
The Golden Eagles travel to Florida for the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational in Vero Beach Oct. 19-20. Marquette ends the fall with a trip to Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa for The Clerico (Oct. 27-28).
Marquette begins the Spring with a trip to the Puerto Rico Classic (Feb. 9-11) at Grand Reserve Golf Club.
The Golden Eagles travel to Hilton Head, South Carolina for a spring break trip before heading to Statesboro, Georgia for The Schenkel Invitational (March 13-15) at Forest Heights Country Club.
Marquette closes the regular season portion of its schedule at the Bell Bank "Pay It Forward" Collegiate (March 23-24) at Wigwam Resort's Gold Course and the Bluegrass Collegiate Invitational (April 13-14) at the University Club of Kentucky in Lexington.
The Golden Eagles will defend their BIG EAST Championship title at the 2026 BIG EAST Men's Golf Championship at Riverton Pointe Golf & Country Club in Hardeeville, South Carolina from Saturday, May 2 to Monday, May 4.

NOTABLES:
- Marquette returns to Windsong Farm Golf Club for the fourth time in the last five seasons.
- MU's second stop in the fall, The Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tennessee, has played host to six USGA events, most recently the 2024 U.S. Senior Amateur. The course also played host to the 1996 NCAA Division I men's golf championship won by Tiger Woods, his only NCAA individual title.
- The Golden Eagles have been a long-time participant in Northwestern's Windon Memorial Classic. Marquette's last team victory in the event came at The Knollwood Club in Lake Forest, Illinois in 2018, while Hunter Eichhorn claimed medalist honors in 2019 at Conway Farms. Marquette M Club Hall of Fame member Mike Van Sickle also shared medalist honors in 2007 at Lake Shore Country Club. In last year's event, Patrick Adler won medalist honors by five strokes, leading Marquette to a runner-up finish while taking down five top 30 teams at Conway Farms.
- Erin Hills, the site of the 117th U.S. Open and the longest course in major championship history (7,722 yards), hosts Marquette's home event for the ninth time in 12 years.
- MU's last stop of the fall, Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has hosted 10 USGA events, including three U.S. Opens, two TOUR Championships, and five PGA Championships, most recently in 2022 with Justin Thomas the champion.
- Marquette has played in the last seven Puerto Rico Classics (2018-20, 2022-25), all at Grand Reserve Golf Club, site of the PGA TOUR's Puerto Rico Open.
- The BIG EAST Championship returns to Riverton Pointe Golf & Country Club in Hardeeville, South Carolina again this spring for the first time since the 2024 conference championship. MU won the league's 2023 title by three strokes at Riverton Pointe and was paced by Bhoom Sima-Aree, the co-medalist, with a 3-under 213.
