MLB Opening Day 2026 featured two former Marquette Creatives social media coordinators, Lizzie O'Brien and Molly Keiper, on March 26th. O'Brien was recently hired by the Milwaukee Brewers as a social media coordinator, while Keiper joined the Seattle Mariners as a social media associate.
During their time at Marquette, both O'Brien and Keiper were instrumental in managing social media accounts across multiple sports and played a key role in the digital presence of Marquette Men's Basketball.
The Brewers and Mariners wasted little time putting O'Brien and Keiper to work, as both were heavily involved in their teams' Opening Day content coverage. "Working my first Major League Baseball Opening Day is an experience I'll never forget," O'Brien said. "Thanks to the skills I built as a creative at Marquette, I was able to jump right into game day content coverage and help things run smoothly. During my first day, I was able to work on TikToks, captions, quotes, and game footage! Go Brewers!"
Focusing on quick turnarounds and building content in real time were the exact skills that led to success for both O'Brien and Keiper at Marquette and prepared them for the big leagues. "I am incredibly grateful for the Marquette Athletics Creative Team for developing my skills and giving me the toolkit that got me to where I am now," Keiper said. "During our opening homestand, I was responsible for creating game highlights, capturing the fan experience, and using social media as a storytelling mechanism throughout the weekend. Tridents up!"
O'Brien and Keiper were also active in the Milwaukee sports scene prior to their new roles, interning with the Milwaukee Bucks in social media support roles. Keiper is also a former Marquette Women's Soccer student-athlete.
