"We are ecstatic to welcome Kate back home to Wisconsin!" said head coach Chris Allen. "We believe her skill set as an attacking player, combined with her competitive mentality, will thrive within our system and identity. Beyond adding a player of her quality, we are bringing in a true culture builder. From her time with FC Wisconsin to Cedarburg High School (where she was a teammate of current goalkeeper Mia Hurd), Kate has consistently been a transformational leader within every program fortunate enough to have her. We are excited to now count ourselves among them."
Â
Vanden Berg joins Marquette after beginning her collegiate career at North Dakota State, where she appeared in five matches for the Bison in 2025. She capped an outstanding high school career at Cedarburg High School by earning all-conference and all-state honors in back-to-back seasons. At the club level, she competed for FC Wisconsin, earning ECNL Midwest Division all-conference recognition in each of her final two seasons as a midfielder. In addition to her success on the pitch, Vanden Berg excelled in the classroom, earning High Honor Roll honors throughout her time at Cedarburg.
