Golden Eagles compete in final meet before next week's BIG EAST Championships.

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Marquette University track and field teams recorded multiple standout performances Friday at the Uncaged Eagle Open hosted by UW–La Crosse, highlighted by an all‑time program mark in the men's 1,500 meters and a historic performance by the men's 4x400‑meter relay at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Patrick Clune led the Golden Eagles on the men's distance side, finishing second overall in the 1,500 meters with a time of 3:49.04, ranking eighth all‑time in Marquette program history. Dylan Riniker followed in 3:56.74, while Nick Parrell added a strong effort in 3:59.14 in a deep field.

Marquette's men's sprint group delivered one of the most notable results of the meet in the 4x400‑meter relay. The all‑freshman quartet of Andrew Klopcic, Charlie Dutmer, Bobby King and Blake Frea placed fourth overall with a time of 3:11.90. The mark ranks third all‑time in Marquette history and stands as the fastest all‑freshman 4x400‑meter relay ever recorded by the program.

In the men's field events, John Pitta posted a solid performance in the triple jump with a mark of 13.94 meters. Henrik Rosario delivered a top‑five finish in the long jump, placing fifth overall with a mark of 6.91 meters. In the high jump, Russell Czerwinski and Jude Anderson each cleared 1.92 meters, while Mason Cornwell and Matthew Ferrario both cleared 4.41 meters in the pole vault.

On the women's track, Marley Stoller led Marquette with a third‑place finish in the 400 meters, running 56.71. In the women's distance events, Mia Nutile paced the Golden Eagles in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:50.59, while Taya Gummerson earned a top‑five finish in the 5,000 meters, placing fourth overall in 19:03.36.

In the women's field events, Haneefa Adam recorded a runner‑up finish in the triple jump with a mark of 11.60 meters, marking Marquette's highest women's field placement of the meet. Ally Broaddus competed in both the discus and hammer throw, while Megan White contributed depth in the throws.
