Outdoor (So.): Participated in six meets … Placed second at the Warrior Invitational (Apr. 22) with a mark of 12.52 meters/ 41 feet, 1 inch in the shot put. Took third in the discus throw with a mark of 34.64 meters/113 feet, 7 inches … Recorded a season-best mark of 39.93 meters/131 feet in the hammer throw at the Marquette Invitational (Apr. 22) … Posted a season-best mark in the discus of 38.76 meters/127 feet, 2 inches at the UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative (Apr. 28) … Finished ninth in the shot put (13.16 m/43-2.25 ft) and discus (37.56 m/ 123-3 ft) at the BIG EAST Championships (Ma 11-13). Outdoor (So.): Competed in seven meets for MU … Recorded personal bests in both the discus (39.46m) and hammer throw (42.91m) at the Wisconsin Classic (May 6).
Indoor (So.): Represented the Golden Eagles in seven meets competing in throwing events … Took first in both the shot put (11.85) and the weight throw with a PR 13.42 meters/44 feet, 0.5 inches at the Parkside Classic (Feb. 4) … Threw a PR 13.22 meters/43 feet, 4.5 inches in the shot put at the St. Valentines Open (Feb. 18) … Took 11th in the shot put with a mark of 12.64 meters/41 feet, 5.75 inches at the BIG EAST Championships (Feb. 25).
2020-21:
Outdoor (Fr.): Saw action in a total of five meets in three events (shot put, discus, hammer) … Claimed a trio of top-3 finishes … Finished eighth in shot put at BIG EAST Championships with distance of 41-8.5.
Indoor (So.): Competed in shot put at pair of meets … Finished fourth at Panther Tune-Up (Feb. 14).
2019-2020:
Indoor (Fr.): Spent her freshman year at Oakland University (Mich.), where she competed in eight meets during the indoor season ... She finished fourth at the Horizon League Indoor Championships in the shot put with a toss of 12.75 meters/41-10 feet ... Placed 11th at the conference championships in the weight throw (12.47 m/40-11 ft) ... Placed 12th in the weight throw at the Jack Skoog Open (Jan. 31) with a distance of 12.18 m/39-11.5 ft ... Took third at the SVSU Classic in the shot put on Jan. 10 with a throw of 12.38 m/40-7.5 ft.
Prior to College: Lettered three times in track & field at McCutcheon High School under coach Earl Coleman ... Also played one season of high school basketball ... A two-time track & field team captain, Wise helped her team to the 2018 North Central Conference Championship with her third place finish in the shot put ... In 2019, she led her team to another conference title, finishing first in shot put and second in the discus ... Made the 2019 North Central Conference All-Academic Team in addition to being named First Team All-North Central for her athletic accomplishments ... Named McCutcheon H.S. Field Event MVP and also garnered American Family Insurance Student-Athlete of the Week during her senior year as well ... Four-year honor roll student in high school.
Personal: Wise was born on Sept. 18, 2000 in Atlanta, Ga., to Erika Austin and Micah Wise ... She has a younger brother, Jadam Austin ... Plans on studying biomedical sciences at MU.
