Marquette's women's track team finished the second day of the Conference USA meet in second place, with 50 points, following Houston with 54 points.
Freshman Brianna Dahm won the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing with an NCAA preliminary qualifying time of 10:43.04. Junior Bethany Harry finished fourth, with an NCAA preliminary qualifying time of 10:48.83. Senior Annie Lewandowski took third place in the discus throw with a throw of 141-5 feet.
Senior FlaTria Horne qualified for the women's 100-meter dash with a time of 11.89. She also qualified for the 200-meter dash, finishing with a qualifying time of 25.18.
Junior Jennifer Batie qualified for the 400-meter dash, finishing first in her heat with a time of 55.06. Not only did freshman Brianna Dahm win the steeplechase, but she also qualified for the 1,500-meter run, finishing with a time of 4:42.11. Both senior Megan Kosman and junior Jeannette Batie qualified for the 100-meter high hurdles. Jeannette Batie also qualified in the 400-meter hurdles.
