BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll (March 17)
2025 (Jr.): All-BIG EAST Second Team ... Started all 14 games in the midfield and led the team with eight man-up scores ... Placed fourth on the squad with 21 goals and fifth with 31 total points ... Scored a hat trick and added an assist at No. 1 Notre Dame (Feb. 15) for four points with a pair of extra man goals ... Posted season highs of four goals and five points in an overtime win at Utah (March 15) and was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll ... Posted his third hat trick of the season against No. 14 Georgetown (April 5) ... Scored two goals and added an assist in the regular season finale, a victory over Denver (April 25) at Valley Fields.
Prior to Marquette: Caputo played two seasons at Ohio State (2023-24) and recorded a total of 32 points on 25 goals and seven assists in 24 games played ... Made nine career starts on attack and recorded five man-up goals (all as a freshman in 2023) ... Also totaled 29 ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers for the Buckeyes.
2024 (So. - Ohio State): Started six of 14 games on attack and recorded 15 points with 10 goals and five assists ... All 15 points came in the final eight games of the season ... Notched a hat trick in a 13-10 loss to No. 1 and eventual NCAA champion Notre Dame (March 9) ... Made first of five consecutive starts against Detroit Mercy (March 12) and notched his second consecutive hat trick ... Continued a season long scoring streak with goals against then-No. 7 Denver (March 17) and then-No. 7 Penn State (March 24) ... Finished off the season with a pair of goals in a 13-12 loss to Michigan (April 20) ... Picked up 22 ground balls on the season, including a career-best six at Rutgers (March 30).
2023 (Fr. - Ohio State): Finished fifth on the team in points with 17 and was fourth in goals with 15 ... Led the team with five man-up goals ... Picked up seven ground balls on the year ... Played in 10 games for the Buckeyes and made his first career start against Detroit Mercy (March 14) ... Scored a pair of goals in NCAA debut against Cornell (March 4) ... Recorded three hat tricks on the year; against Detroit Mercy (March 14) and in consecutive games against Michigan on April 21 and April 29 to end the year.
High School: A two-sport athlete who played football and lacrosse at Westbury Lutheran ... Team captain and all-county selection on the lacrosse field ... The NYSAIS points leader for attackmen ... Served as team captain in football where he was an all-county choice while leading his team in interceptions ... Was on the winning team in the World Series of Youth Lacrosse Championship in Mile High Stadium in Denver in October of 2017.
