The 2021-22 campaign marks the ninth year with the Marquette men's basketball program for Allison Kellaher, who was named Director of Student-Athlete Welfare and External Relations in 2017.
Kellaher assists with on and off-court player development. She oversees the programs that promote the personal, professional, and social development of our men’s basketball players.
Kellaher implemented the first ever Student-Athlete Welfare program when she took over the role. This program has many layers, but primarily focuses on four pillars: leadership, mental health, academic success and mentorship. The initiative begins prior to the player’s arrival on campus and after he has completed his eligibility, designed to aid with the transition during each of those critical time periods.
In addition to supporting with all aspects of the recruiting process, Kellaher partners directly with many areas across campus and Athletics, such as Marketing, the President’s Office, University Advancement, Community Relations, and many more. She is most passionate about managing strategic community partnerships between men’s basketball and youth-focused organizations, instilling a philanthropic foundation as a component of the student-athlete journey.
Kellaher is a 2010 graduate of Marquette with a degree in broadcast and electronic communication, Kellaher minored in criminology and law studies.
