Prior to Marquette, Roberts was the head coach at Concordia University Wisconsin, where he lead the program to a 9-7 record in 2013. As well as 26 wins over a three-year period.
Roberts served as an offensive volunteer assistant coach in 2014, guiding the Golden Eagles to a 4-2 BIG EAST conference record and a second place regular season finish in the league. Marquette won its four BIG EAST games all by a one-goal margin, including two overtime wins over St. John's and Georgetown.
A 1994 graduate of Springfield College (Mass.), Roberts began coaching collegiately in the spring of 1995.
He started his top-level experience at Dartmouth College,where he served as assistant offensive coordinator. Roberts also was the top assistant at the University of Vermont where he led the Catamounts to the 20th-ranked offense in the nation.
