Outdoor (Fr.): Claimed first place in the 800-meter race at Marquette Duals by a time of 2:14.42.
Cross Country: Placed in Marquette's top-seven in all six meets the Golden Eagles competed in ... Finished 12th in the 3.1-mile run at UW-Parkside Midwest Open with a time of 19:21.0 ... Finished the NCAA Great Lakes Region 6k at 22:02.1, giving Hanson 91st overall and fifth at Marquette ... Came in 49th seventh place at the BIG EAST Championships as she finished the 6k in 23:33.3.

Prior to Marquette: Lettered in cross country and track all four years at Dodgeville High School... Led cross country team to two state titles (2011, 2012), three regional championships (2011, 2012, 2014) and four conference crowns... Was a second team All-State selection as a junior...Track team won the state championship in 2015 and Hanson was a first team All-State selection in the 800-meter run... Holds the school record in the 800-meter run (2:13.23) and was a member of two school-record holding relays (4x400 - 4:00.61 and 4x800 - 9:22.67) ... Served as cross country and track team captain as a senior.

Personal: Hanson was born in Dodgeville, Wis. and is the daughter of Joe and Ann Hanson... Mother competed in track and cross country at UW-Madison, while father competed in track and cross country at UW-LaCrosse... Has two siblings, Michaela Courtney, who competed in cross country and track at Marquette from 2003-07, and Molly Hanson, who competes on the track and cross country teams at UW-Madison... Plans to study psychology.
