Career (2018-21): Ended her Marquette career having played 265 sets in 89 matches with 353 kills (1.33 per set), 95 digs and 85 blocks and hitting .269 (353-111-898).
2021 (R-Jr.): Played 94 sets in 29 matches, posting 135 kills (1.44 per set) and hitting .266 as a right-side hitter ... Also recorded 35 digs (0.37/set) and 34 blocks (0.36) ... Season-high 10 kills on Nov. 13 in a start at Xavier while hitting .421 with four digs and a block ... Five kills and a season-high four blocks in a five-set win at St. John's (Nov. 6) ... Posted seven kills and hit .294 in the NCAA FIrst Round against Dayton (Dec. 2) ... Notched six kills, two digs and two blocks while hitting .545 (6-0-11) in a sweep of UConn in the BIG EAST semifinals (Nov. 26).
2020-21 (RS - COVID): Played 13 sets in five matches, recording eight kills on 17 swings ... Season-high four kills against both Illinois State (Jan. 23) and at UNI (Jan. 30).
2019 (So.): Played in 108 of 122 total sets as a sophomore in 33 matches and recorded 169 kills (1.56 per frame), while hitting .261 ... Also posted 28 blocks ... Racked up 15 kills with a .500 hitting percentage in a win against Wisconsin (Sept. 5) ... Recorded seven kills and zero errors with a .438 hitting percentage against Illinois State (Sept. 15) ... Tallied four total blocks against St. John's (Sept. 28) ... Notched 11 kills at a .381 clip against St. John's (Oct. 25).
2018 (Fr.): Tallied a career-best eight kills against Villanova (Nov. 2) and Georgetown (Nov. 3) … Notched two digs against St. John’s (Nov. 17) and Creighton (Nov. 24) … Recorded a career-best six block assists against Cincinnati (Dec. 1).
Prior to Marquette: Won the Section 4AA Championship twice during her time at the Academy of Holy Angels... Was a captain her last year and took her team to a Tri-Metro Conference title and a third place finish in the state tournament… In 2016, Koontz was on the Girl’s Junior National Championships All-Tournament Team… In 2017, she made the Minnesota State High School League All-Tournament Team and the Minnesota Class AA All-State award… All-Conference all four years and was on honor roll or high honor roll each semester during high school.
