Chaia Huff completed his first season as an assistant coach at Marquette in 2024-25.
Huff helped guide Marquette to a 21-win season in 2024-25. Marquette finished fourth in the BIG EAST after being picked 10th in the preseason coaches’ poll. The Golden Eagles made it to the second round of the Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament.
The Golden Eagles were consistently top 50 in the nation in field goal percentage defense (38.1 percent) and held opponents to under 45-percent shooting from the field in 28-of-32 games.
Marquette led the BIG EAST in rebounding all season at 37.5 rebounds per game and a +4.8 rebound margin. The Golden Eagles outrebounded their opponent in 20-of-32 games.
Marquette finished third in the BIG EAST in scoring offense (67.1 points per game) and scoring margin (+7.8). Sophomore forward Skylar Forbes earned All-BIG EAST First Team honors while senior guard Lee Volker was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team.

Huff (first name pronounced KY-ah) comes to Milwaukee from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin where she was head coach for the last eight seasons.
"We are excited to welcome Chaia to Marquette," Consuegra said. "She has great experience developing student-athletes on and off the court and her experience leading a program will be a huge asset."
Huff was 104-95 overall as head coach for the Eagles with an 82-58 mark in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play. She became the winningest coach in program history during the 2022-23 season.
"I am very grateful to be joining coach Cara and the Marquette women's basketball family in this new journey," Huff said. "I am really looking forward to this opportunity and can't wait to get started."
The Eagles had a program record 25 wins in 2019-20, were NACC tournament champions, and earned a bid to the Division III NCAA tournament for the second time in program history. Edgewood earned a spot in the WBCA Academic Top 25 for Division III in 2019-20 and 2020-21.
Huff also had head coaching stops at Grace University in Omaha, Nebraska and her alma mater, Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois.
Huff, from Normal, Illinois, earned a bachelor's degree in theology from Moody Bible Institute in 2007 and master's degrees in kinesiology from Texas Women's University in 2007 and in organizational leadership from Edgewood College in 2019.
