Katie Braunreiter is in her 13th year at Marquette University and was promoted to Director of Academic Services and Support Programs in the athletic department in August of 2022. As the academic advisor for men's lacrosse, men's golf and volleyball, Braunreiter oversees all facets of the student-athlete's academic careers.
As part of Marquette’s commitment to developing future leaders, Braunreiter designed a curriculum for the Marquette Student-Athlete Leadership Institute Levels 1-4, inviting students from freshman through senior to participate in their own leadership development and growth. Certified as an Athlete-Assessment facilitator, Braunreiter helps students use the DiSC platform to help gain a deeper understanding of their behavioral preferences. She currently serves as the advisor for SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Council).Â
Braunreiter served as the university assessment coordinator for Student-Athlete Academic Support and from 2009-2012, she oversaw the NCAA alcohol CHOICES grant, providing alcohol programming to student-athletes and the Marquette student body. Over her career she has been a participant in several seminars including the Women Leaders in College Sports Institutes for Administrative Advancement, the NCAA Effective Facilitator Training and the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum.Â
Previously at Marquette, Braunreiter served as a Learning Specialist working with at-risk student-athletes. In this role she designed individualized learning plans for students to improve their study skills and achieve academic success.

Prior to MU, Braunreiter served as an assistant residence hall director at Seattle University and an elementary teacher in the Milwaukee area. In 2006 she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and elementary education from Marquette University and master's degree of education in student development administration from Seattle University in 2010.
Braunreiter resides in Brookfield, Wisconsin with her husband, Brian, and their two Children Sean and Nessa.
