Larry Birkett is in his 23rd year at Marquette University. Birkett was promoted to Director of Retail and Licensing in July of 2022. In his role, Birkett manages all retail operations and logo licensing for the athletic department and university.

Before arriving at Marquette, Birkett spent over 20 years in specialty retail management having worked for Williams-Sonoma, J. Crew, The Museum Company, and Thief Wine Shop & Bar. In his spare time, he practices meditation, yoga, and natural movement. Birkett is a certified mindfulness meditation teacher authorized through Dharma Moon and Tibet House – the cultural home of the Dalai Lama in the United States.

Larry earned his bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Carroll University in 1988.
