Michael Gordon

- Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. Michael Gordon’s practice, Milwaukee Orthopaedic Group Limited, specializes in sports medicine and the disorders of the shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle. Dr. Gordon obtained his Medical Degree from Harvard Medical School, completed an orthopedic surgery residency from Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center, and completed a fellowship in sports medicine from Boston’s New England Baptist Hospital.
In addition to his practice, he serves as team physician for Marquette University and was previously the head team physician for the Milwaukee Bucks for many years. He is physician advisor to the Badgerland Striders, the 7th largest running organization in the country, and has served as team physician for Grafton High School.
While he is not providing medical care, Dr. Gordon is a clinical instructor in orthopedic surgery for the Medical College of Wisconsin and at Marquette University in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. He has performed comprehensive research on the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) as well as the knee joint. His published findings have been presented at national conferences and comprises a chapter in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery’s Orthopaedic Knowledge Update: Sports Medicine 3 (2004).
An avid sports fan and participant, Dr. Gordon earned a varsity letter as a place kicker for the University of Pennsylvania football team. He is also an avid runner, having completed numerous marathons.
