Stefanie Jankiewicz is in her second season as an assistant women's volleyball coach in 2026. She spent the previous three seasons as an assistant at Central Michigan University.
Jankiewicz was a four-year starter at Illinois State and then finished her collegiate career in 2021 at Utah playing indoor and beach volleyball for the Utes.
She served as a team captain in all five seasons, was a four-time All-Missouri Valley Conference honoree, a two-time Missouri Valley Conference Setter of the Year, was twice named an All-MVC Scholar-Athlete, was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-North Region Team in 2021, was named the MVC Freshman of the Year in 2017, and earned All-Pac-12 honorable mention in 2021.
In her first year on staff, the 2022 Chippewas returned to the Mid-American Conference Tournament for the first time in seven seasons. The Chippewas finished in third place both in the regular season and the tournament. Central Michigan also made an appearance in the NIVC tournament.
Tasked with coaching the setters, Jankiewicz coached Claire Ammeraal in 2022 and 2023 as Ammeraal earned Second Team All-MAC honors in 2023 along with a spot on the All-Freshman team. Ammeraal posted five triple doubles in those two seasons.
At the conclusion of the 2024 season, where Central Michigan posted a historic season winning 22 games, Allie Korba was named Mid-American Conference Setter of the Year under the guidance of Jankiewicz. Korba is the first Chippewa in program history to earn the honor.
CMU recorded 12.6 assists/set which was second best in the MAC, and Korba’s 11.06 assists/set during MAC play was also good for second best in the conference during the 2024 season.
In game, Jankiewicz ran the serve game for the Chippewas and CMU charted 352 service aces in that time frame. In the 2023 season, Devon Bright, a graduate transfer, recorded 38 aces, good for 9th best in program history. Those 38 aces averaged to 0.50/set – good for second best in program history.
Jankiewicz, a Farmington Hills, Mich. native, holds two Bachelor of Science degrees with majors in psychology and criminal justice sciences
