Danielle Josetti is in her 23rd year at Marquette University in 2025-26 and was promoted to Deputy Athletic Director, Operations/Senior Woman Administrator in May of 2025.
Josetti now provides strategic oversight of the compliance, communications, marketing and sales, and facilities and event management departments.
She led the external team through the transition into the basketball team’s new competition venue, Fiserv Forum, where the department has experienced record-setting attendance numbers for the past six seasons.
As a member of the department's leadership team, she provides strategic guidance and counsel to the Vice President and Director of Athletics related to revenue generation, fan engagement and matters involving NCAA compliance. In her role she leads a team that works with student-athletes, coaches, administrators and others to educate and facilitate a culture of compliance and integrity for Marquette Athletics.
Josetti also serves as the sport administrator for the men's basketball, women's basketball, volleyball, men's golf, men's lacrosse and women's swimming programs. In 2016, Josetti was awarded the IMLCA’s “Extra Man” Award for her commitment to help in growing the sport of lacrosse and Marquette’s program.
Josetti was the chair of the 2024-25 NCAA Women's Volleyball Committee at a time when the NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship is coming off consecutive years with record-breaking attendance and television viewership.
She has served on several conference committees during her tenure in the BIG EAST, including tennis, women’s volleyball and men’s lacrosse. She serves as an NCAA Peer Reviewer for Athletic Certification and is also a member of the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators and National Association for Athletics Compliance. As a member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance, Josetti served on the organization's Forecasting Committee.
She has also served on several campus-wide committees as the lone athletic department administrator appointed to the search committees for the most recent Vice President and Director of Athletics, as well as Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. Josetti has also served as the department’s Human Resource director as well.
Prior to Marquette, Josetti worked at her alma mater, Creighton University, as a Compliance Coordinator and External Operations Assistant. From 1997 until 2001, she served a dual role as assistant softball coach and assistant compliance coordinator and helped the Bluejays capture three regular season Missouri Valley Conference titles in her four seasons as the program’s lone assistant coach.
Josetti earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Creighton in 1997 and was an academic all-conference selection in 1995. The native of Portland, Oregon was also chosen to play for Team DeMarini, an Oregon All-Star team, that competed against Team USA in 1998 during the Coca-Cola USA Softball American Challenge Series.
A member of the Creighton softball team from 1995-97, the former Danielle Fitzgerald still ranks among the program's top-10 career leaders in sacrifice hits and stolen bases and topped the roster in sacrifice hits in 1995 and 1996. She also owns the top spot in the single-season stolen bases category.
Prior to her enrollment at Creighton, Josetti attended Clackamas Community College in Oregon City, Oregon for a year. She still holds the single season steals record at CCC with 35 during the 1994 campaign and was the first softball player inducted into Clackamas' Hall of Fame in June of 2012.
Josetti earned her master's degree in leadership studies, with a specialization in sports leadership, from Marquette University, in 2013.
She resides in New Berlin, Wisconsin with her husband, Jake, and daughters Payton and Lauren.
