Marquette Volleyball Team Loses 3-0 At DePaul

CHICAGO - The Marquette volleyball team dropped a 15-3, 15-7, 15-3 decision to DePaul in Chicago Friday evening. Marquette slipped to 11-10 overall and 4-6 against Conference USA opponents, while DePaul improved to 14-9 overall and 7-3 in league action.
The Blue Demons hit .389, compared to .102 by Marquette. DePaul also served five aces and had six total team blocks.
Stephanie Bishop, this week's Conference USA Player of the Week, had a match-high 15 kills and hit .517 for the Blue Demons.
Marquette was led by Vesna Grbavac's nine kills. Liz Egasti added 28 assists, seven digs and two service aces. Chris Curtin added six kills and two block assists. She now needs four kills to tie Martha Meyer for first place on Marquette's career kills list. With five kills she will move into sole possession of first place on that list.
The Golden Eagles return to action next Friday night, Oct. 29, at Southern Miss. Action gets underway at 7 p.m.
