Men's Tennis Sqaud Off For Two Weeks

MILWAUKEE - UP NEXT The Marquette men?s tennis team has a break in their schedule and will be off for the next two weeks. The Golden Eagles host the University of Illinois-Chicago on Jan. 26 at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium at 3 p.m. (CT).
LAST WEEK The Golden Eagles (0-1) dropped their season opener 6-1 to Minnesota on Sun., Jan. 10, at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium. Junior Brian Verban (Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington) won the lone match for Marquette with his 7-6, 6-4 victory over Eric Robertson. Junior Christophe Van Der Gucht (Waasmunster, Belgium/OLVC) dropped a three-set match to Hash Mankad 4-6, 6-3, 6-2. On the doubles side, the Golden Eagles were swept by the Golden Gophers.
