CHICAGO - Marquette junior midfielder Sean Reti (Brookfield, Wis.) was one of 11 players named First-Team All-Conference USA. Reti, a preseason All-C-USA selection, is named to the team for the second time in as many years. He was an All-Freshman team performer in his first year at Marquette. Reti was second on the team with 14 points, but his success as an all-around player helped earn him the award.
Joining Reti from Marquette on All-C-USA teams, senior forward Marshall Morehead (Stillwater, Minn.) was named to the Second Team. Like Reti, Morehead was also a preseason All-C-USA selection. Morehead led Marquette with 10 goals on the year. Morehead was a two-time C-USA Offensive Player of the Week and was named to a Soccer America team of the week in 2000. Morehead was a first-team selection in 1999.
A pair of Golden Eagles were named to the third team. Senior midfielder Andy Hunter (Swaffham, England). Hunter was the captain of the men's soccer team this season and was charged with the task of maturing a young corps of freshmen and sophomores. Hunter was a second-team All-C-USA selection in 1999. Joining Hunter on the third team was sophomore defender Steve Lawrence (Brookfield, Wis.). Lawrence is as talented as any defender in the conference and his skills only improve as he matures. This is Lawrence's second nomination to the third-team all-conference. He was also on the all-freshman team a year ago.
Rounding out the Marquette all-conference selections, Andy Wagner (Waukesha, Wis.) was named to the All-Freshman team. Wagner was an all-around player that stepped on the field at the beginning of the season and was as confident as a seasoned veteran.
