Golden Eagles Host Wildcats on Friday night
MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University men's soccer team (7-6-2, 1-6-0 BIG EAST) concludes its season at Valley Fields on Friday night, hosting Villanova. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CT.
Home Cooking
Marquette is 6-2-2 this season at Valley Fields, which includes three wins in its last three. The Golden Eagles have scored 11 goals in their last three matches at home.
Collecting Honors
For the first time this season, Marquette had two players earn weekly honors from the BIG EAST (10/27/25). Joey Buchanan was named Freshman of the Week after recording a goal (vs. DePaul) and an assist (vs. Edgewood) last week. Nico Pendleton was tabbed to the Weekly Honor Roll after assisting on the match-winner against Edgewood and tallying three points in the 4-1 win over DePaul.
Windy City Blues
Marquette has hosted three opponents from Chicago this season. Each time the Golden Eagles have sent the visitors back to the Windy City with a loss.
Finding Winners
Mads Konrad Horgøien has had a penchant for finding the back of the net when the Golden Eagles have needed it. Half of the sophomore's goals been match-winners.
