Marquette Volleyball Drops Contest To Kentucky

Milwaukee -- The Marquette volleyball team dropped a three-game decision to the University of Kentucky on Friday afternoon in three games, 13-15, 11-15, 9-15, in a match that was played at Louisville. The loss dropped the Golden Eagles' record to 8-23.
Marquette hit 11.2 percent (50-30--179) for the match compared to the Wildcats' mark of 23.3 percent (59-21--163). MU registered an 84-73 edge in digs and a 9-8 advantage in total blocks.
Junior Mehgan Devine (Harris, Minn.) and freshman Ann Lopata (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) each finished the contest with 13 kills while sophomore Danielle Hagen (Milwaukee) posted 10 kills. Lopata paced the the squad with 19 digs, her season high, while freshman Megan Markowski (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) and sophomore Annie Richey (St. Louis, Mo.) each chalked up 17 digs.
Marquette closes out the year on Saturday with a bout against Eastern Kentucky.
