Marquette Volleyball Loses At Louisville

Milwaukee -- The Marquette volleyball team ran into a buzz saw Saturday evening as the Cardinals of Louisville disposed of the Golden Eagles in three games, 15-1, 15-1, 15-6. The loss drops MU's record to 7-20, 5-9 in C-USA, while UL raises its mark to 20-6 in overall action, 11-3 in conference affairs.
Marquette was not able to generate much of an offensive attack, finishing with a -.074 hitting percentage while Louisville finished with a 46.2 attack percentage. UL recorded 44 kills to the Golden Eagles' 19 and outblocked MU by a 11-1 margin.
MU junior Mehgan Devine (Harris, Minn.) chalked up eight kills to lead Marquette in that category while sophomore Annie Richey (Saint Louis, Mo.) tallied six digs.
Marquette's next action takes place next Friday (Nov. 10) when it hosts Charlotte.
