Marquette Women's Cross Country Finishes 15th at NCAA Championships

The Marquette women's Cross Country team, ranked 18th in the country, finished 15th at this afternoon's NCAA Championships in Greenville, S.C.
Sophomore Brianna Dham (Two Rivers, Wis.) was Marquette's top finisher, taking 51st place with a time of 21:42.
Following only ten seconds behind Dahm was junior Susan Barth (Bluffton, Ind.) who finished in 70th place, covering the 6-kilometer course in a time of 21:52.
Senior Bethany Harry (Forty Fort, Pa.) was the next Golden Eagle finisher, taking 132nd place in a time of 22:24. There were a total of 249 participants in today's race.
Juniors Jessie Swan and Jackie Swan (West Allis, Wis.) showed sisters stick together. Jessie finished in 149th place and Jackie finished two places and just a second behind her sister with a time of 22:34.
Senior Sarah McCullough (Naperville, Ill.) and sophomore Audrey Schiltz (West Des Moines, Iowa) were the final two Marquette finishers taking 181st and 201st place respectively.
The Golden Eagles finished 27th at last year's championship.
Brigham Young was the overall team winner beating second place N.C. State by over 70 points. The overall individual winner was Tara Chaplin of Arizona who finished with a time of 20:24. In all, 31 schools participated in this year's championship.
