Golden Eagles Soar Over Conference USA Rival Charlotte

The Marquette men's tennis team defeated Conference USA rival Charlotte 4-3 Friday at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium. The conference victory was the first on the season for the Golden Eagles and their overall record now stands at 8-4.
The match was tied at 3-3 when sophomore Peter Mojzis and Charlotte's Ola Jonsson entered their tiebreaker. Mojzis came out on top, winning 7-5, 7-6 (3).
Marquette's doubles teams gave the Golden Eagles an early advantage. Mojzis and Raj Gill along with Kent Davies and Justin Holsen won their respective doubles matches to put the Golden Eagles ahead.
The Golden Eagles will face Northern Iowa at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m.
