Women Hurdlers, Throwers Do Well at LSU

The Marquette women performed solidly both on the field and on the track against the No. 4 ranked LSU Tigers.
Twin juniors Jeannette and Jennifer Batie both finished fourth in the 400-meter hurdles and the 400-meter dash, respectively. On the field, senior Annie Lewandowski finished third in the shot put, with a throw of 43-9.75. She was the best competitor associated with a college. In the hammer throw, junior Julie Sorrentino took second place, followed by sophomore Crystal Larson.
