Marquette Men's Tennis Hosts Marquette Invitational

The Marquette Men's Tennis team kicks off their fall season by hosting the Marquette Invitational this weekend.
Three of Marquette's players will be taking the court for the first time as Golden Eagles. Freshman Joe Bates (Ft. Atkinson High School/ Ft. Atkinson, Wis.), junior Creighton Macy (Lincoln High School/ Portland, Ore.) and freshman Matthew Mueller (Sheboygan South High School/ Sheboygan, Wis.) will all play on Friday.
Returning for the Golden Eagles are senior Mark Thomas (Lahser/ Bloomfield Hills, Mich), juniors Kent Davies (South/ Waukesha, Wis.), Justin Holsen and Peter Mojzis (Selborne College/ Capetown, S. Africa), and sophomore Raj Gill (Millfield School/ Ascot, England).
The Golden Eagles will entertain Wright State, Bradley, Eastern Illinois, Western Illinois, Southern Illinois, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Chicago State, Illinois-Chicago and Valparaiso.
Marquette will face Illinois-Chicago, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Bradley and Northern Illinois during the spring season as well.
The matches this weekend start at 9 a.m. on Friday and at 8 a.m. on Saturday. Semi finals and finals will be played Saturday afternoon. All matches will be played at the Greendale Village Club, and will be outside, weather permitting.
