MU Men Struggle in Minnesota Invitational

MINNEAPOLIS -- Marquette picked up just three wins in 10 singles matches and three doubles matches in the Minnesota Invitational. Playing in dual match format, Marquette won one singles match to Minnesota and two over Michigan State.
Freshman Ricky Servoss picked up the lone win against Minnesota, beating Nate McLain, 7-4, 1-6, 1-0. He lost to Eric Simonton of Michigan State later in the evening, 1-6, 1-6.
Eigintas Vedrickas picked up a win over Jimmy McGuire in singles, 7-6, 6-4. Freshman Ian Kawas also won over Mike Jonckheere of Michigan State, 3-6, 7-6, 1-0.
Play continues on Saturday and Sunday. MU plays Wisconsin and Boston College on Saturday and faces Nebraska on Sunday.
