MADISON, Wis. -- Senior Kent Davies, playing in his first match of the season, lost in the first round of qualifying at the ITA/Omni Hotels Midwest Regionals.
Davies fell to Ahmed Whala of Northwestern, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2.
The tournament continues through Sunday. Freshman Eigintas Vedrickas has his first match in the main draw on Saturday. MU doubles tandems of Vedrickas and Ian Kawas along with Davies and Creighton Macy also play on Saturday.
