Men's Soccer Earns Top Seed at C-USA Tournament

CHICAGO - Marquette, the Conference USA regular season co-champion earned the top seed at the Conference USA Tournament, beginning, Thursday, Nov. 14 in St. Louis, Mo.
The Golden Eagles, 10-7-1, tied Saint Louis for the regular season league title, but earned the first round bye based on its win over the Billikens, 1-0 on Sept. 7.
Marquette receives a first round bye in the six-team tournament. The Golden Eagles will play the winner of South Florida and Cincinnati, which is scheduled for Nov. 14 at 5:30 p.m. Marquette lost to Cincinnati in the regular season, 1-0 at Cincinnati. MU lost to South Florida, 1-0 in the regular season at Valley Fields. MU's semifinal contest is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15
Louisville and UAB play in the other semifinal on Nov. 14. The winner of that match will play second-seed Saint Louis on Nov. 15 at 8 p.m.
The semifinal winners will meet on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. Should Marquette advance to the title match, that contest will air on WMLW-Ch. 41 on a tape delay basis. The time for that telecast is not yet set.
